In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Historic building with genuine charm — Guests repeatedly mention the 16th-century palace architecture and old-world decor. The courtyard and cultural touches add to the atmosphere.
  • Outstanding location for exploring Granada — Calle Navas is in the heart of the city, with shops, restaurants, and the atmosphere of the old town all within walking distance. The Alhambra is a longer but doable walk or short shuttle ride away.
  • Helpful and attentive staff — Guests single out the reception team for special assistance – booking a flamenco show, arranging Alhambra tickets, and returning forgotten items.
  • Generous breakfast included — The breakfast buffet offers local fruits, meats, and cheeses, and it's included in the rate – a notable plus compared to similar hotels in the area.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Lowest room categories can feel underwhelming — A guest who booked last-minute into an Economy room noted a lack of natural light and thought upper-floor rooms would be better. Room quality seems to vary by category.
  • Some rooms may have street noise despite good soundproofing — While one street-level room was praised for soundproofing, another comment suggests the location on a lively street could be noisy at times.
  • Service and price receive mixed ratings — The 'Price and service' category scores only 6/10, suggesting that some guests may not feel the value matches the cost, or that service can be inconsistent.
  • No on-site parking — Parking is not available at the hotel, so guests arriving by car will need to find public parking in the city center, which can be busy.

“The room was spacious and elegant, with a good-sized bathroom. The location was ideal – close enough to lively bars and restaurants but not so close that it was noisy during the day. Breakfast offered a commendable variety of local fruits, meats, and cheeses.”

“A beautifully renovated 16th-century palace with elegant decor that gives a real sense of historical charm. I loved the cozy atmosphere and convenient location, which made it easy to reach Granada's main attractions.”

“Perfect location in a perfect city. The hotel itself was great – excellent location, great design, and everything was kept in pristine condition for a building from the 16th century. A very romantic hotel.”

8.8Verified guest

“Very well located, and the soundproofing is excellent – even in room 2, which is at street level. The staff are really nice and willing, for them a 10. The room is nice and has everything you need. However, we might not have been lucky with ours – it's likely the lowest category, as we booked just two hours before arriving – and I'm sure the upper floors offer a better experience, especially in terms of lighting. In short, a 100% decent hotel.”
